South Eastern Box Sash Windows have been undertaking restoration works on Wooden Sash Windows for more than 10 years and offer a very large variety of services to customers. In contrast to modern companies, we work with our customers to make sure that all of their needs and requirements are met in full. We are a small family based business and use a local workshop, manufacturing our high quality joinery materials. It is because of this that we are able to offer very low prices to customers and if you find a legitimate lower quote, we will be happy to match it. Below is a list of our main services and their descriptions.

Sash Window Replacement -

If it is possible we will try to avoid replacements, but in some cases the sill may be beyond repair due to reasons such as rotting.

Counterbalancing Sashes -
Counterbalancing sashes is the main problem for which we are called out. They may rise or fall without use or will fail to stay in one place after being moved. The only thing required for repair is to add weights to either side of the box holding your saches.

Replacement Sill -
Your sash window sill is the first line of defence and with cracks; water can seep through and begin to rot the wood. We can repair this relatively easily.

Replacement Sashes –
Over time your sashes may become rotted or too damaged for repair. If your sash windows are too badly damaged for repair, a replacement is the answer. It is very common for the lower sash to require replacement.

Re-Glazing -
We re-glaze for a variety of reasons but the process only requires replacing old glass with new glass.

Overhauling -

An overhaul is where we fix any problems with your existing sashes. They may be stuck, difficult to operate or just in bad condition but we will make sure they start running smoothly and become fully operational. The installation of a draft proofing system Is also included.

General Repairs to Sash Windows -
Often, only a light restoration to your sash windows is required. A general repair ensures your windows are fully operational and remain in a good condition.

Installing Security & Window Furniture -
Security locks are an important feature on sash windows. Many insurance companies require some degree of security on your sash windows. We will also install window furniture at the same time. If you supply us with your own security locks and window furniture we will happily install it free of charge.

Sealing/Re-Pointing Box to Brick -
Eventually the pointing around your windows will need repairing or replacing.
